Physical Education is not as important as it used to be in school and now it is up to us to keep kids healthy and active. What are you doing to make this a priority in your life as well as your kids?

As we get older certain things we are used to being easy seem to become more difficult. Our balance, coordination, strength, etc., tend to decline. This is one of the most important times to keep up with your health and fitness no matter what your age or abilities may be.

 

We want to prolong the aging process as long as possible. We concentrate on making every day tasks as easy as possible such as: getting in and out of a chair, tying your shoes, standing or walking for long periods of time, playing with grandchildren.

 

If we are injured as we get older the healing process takes a little longer then it used to and we try to strengthen the body to better prepare for falls or other things that may occur. We stretch, strengthen and work a lot on balance training.
